My Year In Fitness – Day 24 #MYIF2014

After two babies in 25 months my belly is the part that I feel needs the most work. I try to fit a couple of core sessions in week. A strong core can also help prevent lower back pain which I have suffered previously with and want to avoid in the future. I did a basic core circuit tonight that included

Bridges
Heel Slides
Accordion crunches
Side planks
Scissor Kicks

I try avoid ab exercises that focus too much on the Rectus Abdominis such as sit ups and try to work the deeper ab muscles like the transverse abs  and obliques.
